    How does hydrocdone guaif. syrup show up on a drug test? My employer did a random drug test and it came back positive for Opiates. Is that the same thing? The Testing Panel says 9 panel w/ oxycodone, what does that mean.

    Hydrocodone is an opiate, just like Vicodin, Percocet, and Oxycontin will show up as opiates on a drug test. A 9-panel test means they are testing for 9 drugs, most people do a 5-panel test.

    So the 9-panel test w/oxycodone does not mean that they found oxycodone? Is that just the description of the test?

    Yes, it doesn't mean they found oxycodone, just that they are testing for it.
